BISSELL Unsolicited Idea Submission Policy

As a leader in developing premium innovative homecare products and technologies, BISSELL welcomes customer comments regarding its products and services. However, BISSELL’s policy is to accept unsolicited ideas, suggestions, proposals, product concepts, and the like only on a non-confidential basis. BISSELL does not provide any compensation for unsolicited submissions. This policy is intended to avoid any misunderstandings if BISSELL decides to use customer suggestions or ideas to improve its products or services or develops products or services independently which include features or improvements that were also suggested by a customer. Due to the volume of unsolicited customer ideas we receive, BISSELL cannot acknowledge or respond to each. Therefore, although your submission is appreciated, you may not hear back from BISSELL.

TERMS OF SUBMISSION

If you choose to submit an unsolicited idea or other information to BISSELL, we will send to you a simple submission agreement that BISSELL requires each submitter sign before we consider any submissions. Our submission agreement includes the following basic terms: 1.Acceptance of your submission imposes no obligations on BISSELL, and in particular: a.BISSELL has no obligation to acknowledge or review your submission, or otherwise respond to you in any way regarding your submission, b.BISSELL has no obligation to keep your submission confidential, and may publish or otherwise publicly disclose your submission in any existing or later developed media; 2. BISSELL may use or redistribute your submission and its contents for any purpose and in any way, including but not limited to using it in new BISSELL products or services, or to improve existing BISSELL products or services; and 3. You are authorized to make the submission, and that your submission does not include the confidential information, proprietary know-how, trade secrets, or other intellectual property of any other person or party.

Submit Your Idea on a Patented Product

BISSELL only accepts submissions that have a related utility patent or a published patent application. To begin the submission process, please provide the following information by email to IdeaSubmissions@bissell.com: 1. First and Last Name 2. Phone Number 3. Preferred Email Address for Response 4. Mailing Address 5. Published Patent Document No. (e.g., U.S. Patent No. or U.S. Published Patent Application No.) 6. Any needed additional information Please note that incomplete information may result in a delayed or no response. We will not consider design submissions (including design patents), unpublished patent applications, artwork, advertising, marketing suggestions, copyright registrations, slogans, logos, brands, trademarks, or other similar submissions. Once we receive your submission, we will send to you BISSELL's submission agreement that must be signed before we make any further consideration of your idea. Once we have received your signed submission agreement, while we make no commitment to respond to each submission, our intent is to review and respond to each submitter within three (3) months of receipt. Please note that: 1. Idea submissions that do not meet our guidelines will be returned to you without consideration. 2. Acceptance of a submission does not imply we'll use your idea or that you'll receive any compensation. It may take up to 3 months to review submissions and respond. 3. There's no exclusivity implied by the submission process. We encourage you to pursue other opportunities while waiting for a response. 4. All applicable information must be submitted in English.
