BISSELL® Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaner Recall
In cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada, BISSELL is voluntarily recalling its Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaner. The affected products sold in the U.S. and Canada are models 39N7, 39N71, 39N72, 39N73, 39N75, 39N76, 39N77, 39N78, 39N79, 39N7A, 39N7C, 39N7B, 39N7D, 39N7E, 39N7F, 39N7H, 39N7J, 39N7M, 39N7N, 39N7P, 39N7Q, 39N7T, 39N7V, 39N7W, 39B7U, 39N7V, 39N7X, 29946, 29947, 29948, 29949, 2994B, 2994C, 2994D, and 2994W. They were sold during August 2008 through May 2024.
To remediate the affected products, BISSELL is offering a choice between a (1) new replacement Steam Shot™ steam cleaner with attachments (valued up to $49.99 USD/$69.99 CAD), (2) $60 USD/$82 CAD digital credit for BISSELL.com or Canada.BISSELL.com, or (3) $40 USD/$55 CAD refund. Digital credit and refunds are both delivered in up to 6 weeks from submission of information. BISSELL has spent nearly 150 years producing quality products that consumers can trust. If you own one of the models subject to this voluntary recall, we kindly ask that you:
Step 1. Stop using the Steam Shot™ cleaner immediately and unplug the machine. Search for the model number by turning the machine over and looking at the product rating label sticker on the bottom of the machine. The number will be listed on a large black bar on the product rating label. If your unit is subject to the recall, please take a photo of the product information sticker, and go to step 2.
Step 2. With the product unplugged, carefully remove the product label from the bottom of the machine. Once removed, place the label on the side of machine underneath the BISSELL logo. If you cannot remove the product label continue to cutting the cord and through steps 3 and 4. After the label has been stuck to the side of the machine, use standard scissors to cut the cord near the base of the machine. Take a photo verifying the product label and cut cord. If the Steam Shot™ was purchased in a two pack, or if you have more than one product, please complete this form for each individual product. For example, if you have two products, you must submit two separate forms. Reference photo below.
Step 3. Fill out the form below or contact BISSELL to request, at your option, either your (1) new replacement Steam Shot™ steam cleaner, (2) $60 USD/$82 CAD digital credit for BISSELL.com or Canada.BISSELL.com, or (3) $40 USD/$55 CAD refund.
The digital credit will be a nontransferable, nonrefundable credit to a purchase on BISSELL.com or Canada.BISSELL.com only. Website of redemption will be dependent on country of residence. Enter digital credit code as a payment option at checkout. Any remaining balance on the order beyond the digital credit must be paid by credit card. Digital credit amount will not be refunded under the money back guarantee/return policy. Cannot be used to enroll in the Auto Replenishment Program or for subscription purchases. Digital credit expires in two (2) years, except for four (4) years in MD; no expiry in WA, NS, NL.
Step 4. Once you have received your replacement unit, digital credit, or refund, please dispose of your original Steam Shot™ cleaner. Do not dispose of your original Steam Shot™ cleaner before receiving your replacement unit, digital credit, or refund.
To receive your replacement unit, BISSELL.com digital credit, or refund, BISSELL will first validate the photo of your product information sticker (see step 2). You will also be required to provide some information, such as your email address.
